Cryofluid
This page currently uses the filled capsule icon as a temporary visual until dedicated fluid renders are available.

Cryofluid is the cooling utility fluid of Ascendant Technology. You make it on purpose to stabilize volatile materials, improve Steam production, and support higher-end factory systems.
It is not a prestige liquid by itself; its importance comes from what it enables elsewhere.

How to make Cryofluid
Cryofluid is generated in the Cryo Chamber. The machine converts Water into Cryofluid using a Titanium-based catalyst plus Lapis Lazuli.
- 1 Titanium + 8 Lapis Lazuli + 1000 mB Water → 800 mB Cryofluid
- 1 Raw Titanium + 8 Lapis Lazuli + 1000 mB Water → 1600 mB Cryofluid
That makes Raw Titanium the more efficient catalyst if your goal is to fill tanks quickly.
What Cryofluid is used for
Stabilization and cooling
Cryofluid powers the Cryo Chamber's stabilization side, including:
- stabilizing Charged Darloonite Crystal
- de-energizing Energized Iron forms
- cooling a Refined Aetherium Shard back into a normal Aetherium Shard
This makes Cryofluid one of the key bridge resources between volatile processing and safe material handling.
Steam production
In the Vaporworks Processor, 1000 mB Cryofluid → 1500 mB Steam.
That is a better Steam yield than feeding Water directly, which makes Cryofluid a powerful support resource for advanced automation.
Superior machine support
The Superior Seed Synth consumes Cryofluid as an active process cost. Its operating profile changes how heavily it leans on the fluid, so serious seed automation naturally pushes you toward dedicated Cryofluid production.
Storage and transport
Cryofluid can be carried in capsule items, including multiple filled levels and an infinite capsule variant for extreme late-game logistics.
Practical notes
- Cryofluid is a support fluid, not an end product.
- If your factory needs Steam in bulk, Cryofluid can be worth making even before you fully lean into stabilization recipes.
- Raw Titanium is the premium catalyst choice for dedicated Cryofluid generation.
