Tungsten
The current build of Ascendant Technology does not yet generate Tungsten ore or provide active Tungsten crafting and machine recipes. This page documents the planned material line and the prepared visuals already present in the add-on's assets.

Tungsten is the planned dense, heat-resistant industrial metal of Ascendant Technology. Its intended identity is durability, thermal stability, and machine-grade construction rather than raw speed or fantasy prestige.
In other words: Titanium builds, Aetherium elevates, and Tungsten is expected to endure.

Current status
Right now, Tungsten is best understood as announced and prepared, not implemented.
- there is no live Tungsten ore progression in the current gameplay build

- the add-on already includes prepared art assets for multiple Tungsten forms
That means the line is clearly planned, but not yet part of the playable resource economy.
Planned role in Ascendant Technology
Design notes and roadmap direction place Tungsten in a very specific niche.
- heat-resistant internals for hard-working industrial machines
- dense machine casings and durable structural parts
- a future tool and armor baseline with an emphasis on endurance rather than prestige
- potential thermal upgrades and safer sustained operation for heavier machinery
This positions Tungsten as a future bridge between standard industrial materials and the harsher thermal mechanics planned for Ascendant's superior-machine program.

What to expect later
If Tungsten follows the direction already outlined for Ascendant Technology, it will likely become the material you use when a machine needs to:
- run hot for long periods
- handle thermal stress more safely
- support heavier industrial throughput
- stay durable under punishing production conditions
That makes it a very natural fit for the add-on's future thermal and superior-machine systems.
