Aetherium Tools

Aetherium Tools are Ascendant Technology's strongest tool family. Even the regular tools hit hard and last a long time, but the real stars are the hybrid entries: the Paxel, the Hammer, and especially the AIOT.
This line is built for players who want fewer tool swaps, stronger gear, and the most comfortable late-game utility.

How to obtain
- The normal sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, and hammer are crafted directly from Aetherium at a crafting table.
- The Paxel is the material's hybrid workhorse, combining multiple tool roles into one item.
- The AIOT is the big payoff recipe of the line: it combines the Aetherium Sword, Aetherium Paxel, Aetherium Hoe, extra Aetherium, string, and sticks at the crafting table.
- Repairs follow the same flexible pattern as Aetherium armor: Aetherium Shards for smaller fixes, Aetherium for larger ones, or a duplicate tool when available.

What makes this set special
The AIOT is the star
The Aetherium AIOT is the best all-round tool in the line:
- it covers several core tool roles in one item
- it tills land in a 7x7 area
- while sneaking, it can make paths and clear snow in a 7x7 area
- it can also help with automatic replanting when you harvest supported crops
If you want one tool that handles almost everything, this is the standout pick.
The Hammer is for processed drops
The Aetherium Hammer is aimed at players who care about block output, not just block speed. For supported blocks, it can turn the normal drop into a more processed result, making it a specialty mining tool rather than just another pickaxe.
It also has extra utility for pebble-style gathering on dirt and grass-type blocks.
The Paxel saves inventory space
The Paxel is the convenience pick. It rolls your everyday pickaxe, axe, and shovel work into one item, so it is perfect when you want fewer hotbar swaps without giving up strong performance.
Practical notes
- If you only craft one tool from this line first, the AIOT offers the biggest quality-of-life jump.
- The Hammer is the better specialty choice when you care about block conversion output rather than broad coverage.
- The Paxel is the easiest way to slim down your inventory without giving up core mining utility.
