Dorios' Basics

Dorios' Basics Render

Dorios' Basics is part of the UtilityCraft addon pack and focuses on improving early-game survival and resource gathering.
It introduces tools like Pebbles, Hammers, Sieves, Crucibles, and Sinks — essential mechanics for Skyblock-style starts or minimalist progression worlds.

This module provides the foundation for UtilityCraft’s early progression loop.
Players can generate resources from minimal materials and automate their basic survival setups.

Pebbles

Use a Wooden or Stone Hammer while sneaking and interacting with the ground to collect small fragments called Pebbles.

These can be recombined into full blocks, making it possible to rebuild stone resources even in Skyblock-like environments.

Hammers

Hammers are the cornerstone of resource progression.
They allow players to break blocks down into smaller materials:

Combine hammers with Sieves for optimal ore farming.

Flint Knife

Craft Flint using 3 Gravel directly in your inventory, then make a Flint Knife.
Use it to harvest Plant Fibers from leaves.

  • Combine 3 Fiber → String
  • Enables early crafting recipes before you can hunt spiders.

Mortar — Getting Water

The Mortar extracts water from saplings and is essential for early hydration.

Crafting Recipe:

  • 3 Cobblestone
  • 1 Stone Pebble

Usage:
Place 2 Saplings, 1 Glass Bottle, and 1 Mortar in your inventory crafting grid to create a Water Bottle.
The mortar is not consumed.

Sieve

The Sieve filters blocks such as gravel, dirt, or sand to extract valuable materials and seeds.
Place a mesh inside, add a siftable block on top, and start filtering!

  • Works in groups up to 5x5 (25 sieves total).
  • Interacting with one activates all adjacent sieves at once.
